DATE: Victorian, c.1870

A superb mid-Victorian gold bracelet with a turquoise and diamond set locket head. The front is hinged down one side, and flips open to reveal a round, glass-fronted locket compartment underneath. It rests on an exquisite snake-link chain that tapers down towards the clasp, and features an ornate rococo-revival border around the locket. The quality and design are incredible; it dates from the 1870s, modelled in 15 karat gold throughout and remains in great condition.
